Either you decide to spend your entire trip to Iceland on horseback. Or you can combine a rental car trip with a four-legged excursion.

Day Trip: Hiking & Horse Riding
Discover the picturesque valley of Þjórsádalur and the beautiful nature of Iceland on horseback.Here you ride with Sophie on her personal favorite route. You can follow her on Instagram @icelandwithsophie and get some great impressions of Iceland.
Start 9:00 Kálfhóll
11:00 – 12:00 Hjálparfoss – Stöng (horse riding)
12:00 – 12:30 Lunch
12:30 – 14:30 Stöng – Gjáin hike (approx. 1.5km)
2:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Stöng – Fángabrekkur (horse riding)
4:00 p.m. Coffee and Kleinur (twisted doughnut, Icelandic specialty) at Fángabrekkur
Arrive in Kálfhóll around 5:30 p.m
3 days: Horse Riding between the Rivers
On this tour you ride along Iceland's longest river, Thjórsá, which consists of clear glacial water. We continue along the Hvítá River, through green, mossy landscapes.
Day 1
Transfer from Reykjavik to the farm, lunch,
getting used to the horse and hot tub in the evening
Day 2
Horse riding along the river (approx. 20 km), lunch on the way,
overnight on the farm
Day 3
Visit to the herd, horseback riding along the river (approx. 20 km),
transfer to Reykjavik
7 days: The Golden Circle
Nominated as one of the most beautiful horse treks in the world (CNN).
A wonderful tour to many highlights in South Iceland.
Day 1
6:00 p.m. Pick up in Reykjavik, get to know each other on the farm
Day 2
Horse riding along the Thjórsá River (15 km)
Day 3
Horse riding along the salmon river Stóra-Laxá, picnic lunch, horse riding to Brúarhlöð Canyon (30 km)
Day 4
Horse riding along the Hvítá River to the Golden Waterfall, picnic lunch, horse riding back to Myrkholt (20 km)
Day 5
Horse riding through the Haukadalur Valley to the plateau with views of glaciers and mountains, time at the geysers with the hot springs (18 km)
Day 6
Horse riding through the green nature, over the Hvítá River and through the Tungufellsdalur valley to the Hrunaheiðar plateau (30 km). Swim in the Secret Lagoon.
Day 7
Riding past Galtafell Mountain, over the Laxá River to Sandlækjarmýri, back to the farm (40 km), arriving in Reykjavik at around 8 p.m
