Day 1 Keflavik - Hveragerdi (100km)

Today you arrive in the land of fire and ice at Keflavik Airport in Reykjavik. Velkominn - Welcome!

Collect your luggage and follow the signs to the rental car counters. Once you have picked up your car, you can drive to your first accommodation in Hveragerdi. Hveragerdi - or the "Village of Flowers" - is located directly on a geothermal region, so the greenhouses are naturally warmed with the hot water.

If you land early, you have the opportunity to take a hike to the Reykjadalur hot springs. This is a fairly easy hike through the colorful valley to the hot springs, where it's worth taking a dip. So don't forget your swimwear! The hike to the river and back takes about 2-3 hours and can be extended even further.

Day 2 Hveragerdi Skoga Waterfall - Seljalands Waterfall - Reynisfjara Beach - Vik (160km)

We continue on the Ring Road, which goes around Iceland. Take your time at the two impressive waterfalls: Skogafoss and Seljalandsfoss. At Skogafoss: Climb the 370 stairs to enjoy beautiful views over the Icelandic coast. On the latter you can even walk behind the waterfall itself - a unique experience. If the visibility is clear, you can see the well-known volcanoes Mt. Hekla and Eyjafjallajokull. We continue to Myrdalsjokull, a perfect location for guided outdoor activities (see below). Today also visit Reynisfjara Beach with the surreal basalt shapes.

Optional excursions Riding an Icelandic pony - Discover the beautiful nature on horseback on a one-hour tour Glacier hike - With crampons and ice axes you go out into a breathtaking landscape of ice sculptures. With lots of information about the glaciers. Duration approximately 2-2.5 hours (including an hour of introduction) Snowmobile ride - A fast ride on the glacier awaits you with wonderful views. Duration: 1 hour glacier truck ride + 1 hour snowmobile ride. ATV Quadtour - Quad tour through small rivers and black sand. Duration 1 hour

Day 3 Vik - Kirkjubaerjarklaustur - Vatnajökull National Park - Hofn (280 km)

We cross huge lava fields to Vatnajökull National Park, which is named after the largest glacier in Europe. Our recommendation: Visit the Skaftafell area, the park's green oasis surrounded by glaciers. A great hike leads to Svartifoss - waterfalls framed by dark basalt columns. Near the park is the Jokulsarlon glacier lagoon, where icebergs float and collide in a lake formed by the glacier.

Optional excursions Amphibian boat tour on the glacier lagoon. Duration: 30-40 minutes Snowmobile tour on the Vatnajokull Glacier - Discover places off the beaten path, learn a lot about the glaciers and volcanoes. Duration: 3 hours Coastal Puffin Safari: Hayride to the coast followed by a walk to see the puffins. Duration: 2.5 hours, including 1.5 hours of easy hiking

Day 4 Hofn - Vik - Hvolsvollur (350 km)

Take your time and enjoy the adventures of southern Iceland as you drive back along the ring road. Stop and enjoy the view of the glacier lagoon from a different angle and with a different light.

Optional excursions Kayak tour through the glacier water. Duration: 2.5 hours, including 1-1.5 hours in a kayak Zipline adventure - first you hike through a breathtakingly beautiful gorge, along rock formations and a waterfall, then you find 4 zipline platforms from which you can swing down the canyon. Duration: 1.5-2 hours including 3km hike

Day 5 Hvolsvollur - Golden Circle - Reykjavik (215 km)

Discover the region around the Golden Circle today. Discover Gullfoss, considered by many visitors to be Iceland's most beautiful waterfall. Experience exploding geysers - including the Strokkur Geyser, which sprays water 30 meters high every few minutes. Continue to Thingvellir National Park, the site of the ancient Viking Parliament and the place where the North American and European continents meet. If you still have time in the afternoon, you can take a detour to the Blue Lagoon or simply explore the small but beautiful Reyjkavik.

Optional excursions Gulfoss Canyon Rafting - a perfect harmony between the harsh scenery and rapids. Duration: 4 hours Silfra Snorkeling - Snorkeling in the clearest water in the world, between the continents in the Silfra Fissure. Duration: 2.5 hours

Day 6 Departure (50 km)

Every beautiful journey ends at some point...

Today it's time to say goodbye. You should head to the airport about 3 hours before departure, as it will take you about an hour to get to the airport and you still have to return the car.

Day 1 Keflavik - Hveragerdi (100km)

When you have landed at Keflavik Airport and have your luggage, you will collect your rental car. If you land in the morning, you can spend time on the Reykjanes Peninsula before heading to your accommodation.

The peninsula already shows you the magic of Iceland: craters, lava cliffs and crevices. We recommend a walk through the surreal Gunnuhver area with colorful mud pools and bubbling steam springs. The peninsula is also home to the famous Blue Lagoon. If you feel like it, go for a swim...

Then you drive to Hveragerdi, the flower village. Take a walk in the beautiful nature and enjoy a local dinner at one of the lovely restaurants.

Day 2 Hveragerdi - Pingvellir Nationalpark - Geysire - Gullfoss (205 km)

Today you will discover Iceland's famous Golden Circle region. Start with the drive to Lake Pingvallavatn, the largest lake in Iceland. The North American and European plates meet in Pingvellir National Park - so you can easily hike between the two continents.

We continue to Gullfoss, the golden waterfall, with many opportunities for great photo stops. Discover the Geysir Hot Spring Region with the Strokkur Geyser, which spews a fountain of water up to 30 m high every few minutes, as well as many other hot springs and bubbling mud pools.

Want a little fun? Visit Laugarvatn Fotana and relax in the healing steam baths and mineral pools. Another recommendation is Michfarm Efstidalur, known for its delicious homemade ice cream. We go back to Hveragerdi for another night.

Day 3 Hveragerdi - Þjórsárdalur Valley - Skógar - Vik (295 km)

Drive to the naturally beautiful valley of Þjórsárdalur with gorgeous birch forests, lava fields and waterfalls. The fourth season of Game of Thrones was also filmed here. In the Gjáin Valley you will discover the miniature waterfalls and volcanic formations.

Stop at the impressive Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss waterfalls and discover the grass-covered farmhouse. Discover Reynisfjara Beach, one of the most beautiful non-tropical beaches in the world. Today you will spend the night in Vik, the southernmost town in Iceland.

Day 4 Vik - Vatnajökull National Park - Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon - Höfn (285 km)

Take your time and enjoy the adventures of southern Iceland as you drive back along the ring road. Stop and enjoy the view of the glacier lagoon from a different angle and with a different light.

Day 5 Höfn - Eastern Fjords - Egilsstadir (260 km)

There are always beautiful viewpoints along the coast and on the Almannaskarð pass. We then continue to the mountains that rise vertically into the sea and form the beautiful East Fjords. For example, visit the small town of Djúpivogur, the gateway to the East Fjords, and walk along the harbor. A good, local beer awaits you at the Beljandi microbrewery in Breiðdalsvík. You'll stay at Egilsstadir, which has a reputation for excellent cuisine using local ingredients.

Day 6 Egilsstadir - Möðrudalsöræfi - Dettifoss - Mývatn-Lake (300 km)

A varied day lies ahead. Explore the Möðrudalsöræfi desert plateau in the remote highlands and visit the highest working farm in Iceland. We continue to the Stuðlagil basalt column formation, which resembles organ pipes. Don't miss Dettifoss, Europe's largest waterfall. A completely different nature awaits you at the Námaskarð Pass with boiling mud pools in bright colors. Then immerse yourself in the land of the elves around the lava formations at Dimmuborgir. Overnight stay in the Mývatn area.

Day 7 Mývatn-Lake - Godafoss - Akureyri (85 km)

Discover the highlights around the lake, such as the milky blue and mineral-rich natural pool. Continue to the magnificent Goðafoss Waterfall, one of the most important symbols of Northern Iceland. In the northern "capital" of Iceland, Akureyri, you will discover charming buildings and beautiful views of the Eyjafjörður Fjord. You're spending the night in town.

Day 8 Akureyri - Skagafjörður – Borgarnes (415 km)

Today we travel through picturesque valleys surrounded by dramatic mountains to the Skagafjörður region. The best region for horse breeding. Fancy a ride?

We continue through Borgarfjörður, known for its beautiful volcanic and forest landscapes and local Viking history. From the top of the Grábrok crater, you can enjoy a great view. Also stop at the bright blue Hraunfossar Falls and Barnafoss. Overnight in the Borgarfjörður area.

Day 9 Borgarfjörður – Snæfellsjökull National Park – Reykjavík (405 km)

On your last day of travel in Iceland, discover the amazing diversity of natural landscapes in Snæfellsjökull National Park with the glacier of the same name. Kirkjufell is one of the most photographed mountains in Iceland. Also discover Djúpalónssandur beach and the port town of Arnarstapi. In the afternoon we continue to Reykjavik, Iceland's capital. This is where you spend the night.

Day 10 Departure (50 km)

With many new impressions and probably many more photos in your luggage, you make your way back to the airport today. After you drop off the car, you go to check-in and you'll soon find yourself above the clouds.

Day 1 Arrival at Keflavik Airport - Reyjkavik

Then you drive to Hveragerdi, the flower village. Take a walk in the beautiful nature and enjoy a local dinner at one of the lovely restaurants.

Day 2 Golden Circle

After breakfast, you will meet your tour guide in the hotel lobby. The adventure can begin.

Together with the group you will visit the Aurory Reykjavik Northern Lights Center and receive a good introduction to the natural spectacle. Here you will also get good tips on how best to photograph and film the Northern Lights.

Continue to Þingvellir National Park (UNESCO World Heritage Site), where for centuries the world's oldest parliament met on the shores of Iceland's largest lake. This is where the North American and European continents meet - just hop over!

Continue to the Geysir geothermal fields with bubbling mud pools and the bubbling Strokkur hot spring. You will also visit Gullfoss waterfall. In winter parts are frozen, so the view is very spectacular.

Visit the geothermal bakery in Laugarvatn, which makes clever use of the hot springs.

Depending on the weather, you and the group will go looking for the Northern Lights in the evening today or tomorrow. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in the south.

Day 3 Waterfalls - LAVA Center - Glacier - Black Sand

We continue along the south coast. It's also home to the LAVA Center, an interactive, high-tech exhibition depicting volcanic activity, earthquakes and the formation of Iceland. You may be able to see the region's two most famous volcanoes in the distance: Mount Hekla (last eruption in 2000) and Eyjafjallajökull (last eruption in 2010). We continue to the two beautiful waterfalls Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss.

At Reynisfjara Beach you can walk on the black sand and admire the extraordinary rock formations. On the way to the hotel you cross Eldhraun, a huge lava field.

Dinner and overnight in the Kirkjubæjarklaustur area.

Day 4 Vik - Vatnajökull National Park - Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon

Today visit the southern part of Vatnajökull National Park, named after Europe's largest glacier. The park area covers approximately 14% of Iceland's area. Visit the Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, where you can enjoy the breathtaking sight of icebergs floating in the fantastic 180 m deep glacier lagoon. Experience the unique beauty of Diamond Beach. There are several glaciers in the Skaftafell area of the national park - simply a unique backdrop.

Dinner and overnight in the Kirkjubæjarklaustur area.

Day 5 Hveragerði – Blue Lagoon – Reykjavík

On the way back along the south coast you can just let your gaze wander. Iceland in winter is simply enchantingly beautiful.

Discover the small town of Hveragerdi, which is located right in the middle of a geothermal area. The place is also called the flower village because of the many geothermal greenhouses.

Icelandic horses - the Viking horse breed. You visit a horse farm and get to know the Icelandic furry friends. A few selfies with the horses and an Icelandic snack later, we continue to the Reykjanes peninsula. The famous blue lagoon is located here. Enjoy a swim in the warm, mineral-rich water. Return to Reykjavik and overnight at the hotel.

Day 6 Departure

After breakfast at the hotel, this journey to the beautiful winter wonderland of Iceland ends.

Day 1 Arrival at Keflavik Airport - Reyjkavik

Today you will arrive at Keflavik Airport during the day. You can organize your day according to your own ideas. Take a trip straight away if you land early. Or take a look at the small but beautiful capital Reykjavik.

Overnight at the hotel in Reykjavik.

Day 2 Pingvellir National Park - Geysirs - Gullfoss

The adventure begins. Your guide awaits you at the hotel.

First stop. Pingvellir National Park. The world's first parliament met here. And, this is where the North American and European continents meet. Just hop over. We continue to the Geysir geothermal area. Strokkur, the most active geyser, shoots water up to 30m high every few minutes. Then explore the Golden Falls. A number of easy footpaths lead around the waterfall and provide excellent views. Dinner and overnight stay in the Hella area.

Day 3 Hvolsvöllur – Vík – Dyrhólaey – Kirkjubæjarklaustur

Discover Seljalandsfoss in an impressive way - simply by walking behind the waterfall. There is more beautiful scenery to admire at Skógafoss. The black beaches are definitely another highlight of the day. Thousands of cute puffins nest on the Dyrhólaey headland between May and mid-August. Via the picturesque village of Vík, you cross the Mýrdalssandur volcanic ash plain. Stop at the world's largest single lava flow in the last 10,000 years, Eldhraun.

Dinner and overnight in the Kirkjubæjarklaustur area for the next two nights.

Day 4 Vik - Vatnajökull Nationalpark - Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon - Höfn

Vatnajökull National Park is the largest national park in Western Europe. Today you will discover Vatnajökull, the largest glacier in Europe. The highlight of the day will certainly be the Fjallsárlón and Jökulsárlón lagoons, where huge icebergs dance around in the icy sea water. You can experience it up close during a Zodiac tour between the icebergs. At Diamond Beach you can marvel at many small, glittering diamonds on black sand. Experience beautiful nature on the way through the national park.

Day 5 Landmannalaugar

It gets bumpy - it goes into the wilderness of the highlands. The view will be breathtaking.

On the rugged Fjallabaksleið path to Landmannalaugar you pass colorful rhyolite mountains. After a nice walk in the nature reserve, you can enjoy a relaxing swim in a warm stream.

We continue into the picturesque Þjórsárdalur valley. The group stays overnight here.

Day 6 Sprengisandur Trail

We head north through the heart of Iceland. Discover black sand beaches along the highland route. This bumpy and impassable route is full of legends and ghost stories. She's even the inspiration for one of the country's most famous folk songs! During the day you will see Herðubreið, Iceland's "Queen of the Mountains" in the form of a table volcano. Dinner and overnight in the Mývatn area for the next 3 nights.

Day 7 Mývatn Lake – Dettifoss – Ásbyrgi

Today you visit the northern part of Vatnajökull National Park and Lake Mývatn.

The lakeside region is a geological wonderland and a bird watcher's paradise. Among the most bizarre attractions are the colorful boiling mud pits of Hverarönd and the surreal steaming slopes of Námaskarð.

The journey continues to Dettifoss, the most powerful waterfall in Europe, located in the impressive Jökulsargljúfur Gorge.

The journey continues around the Tjörnes peninsula, the northernmost point of the journey. In the afternoon, you'll get a good insight into local life with a visit to the fishing village of Húsavík.

Day 8 The Askja Caldera

Today you'll discover another planet when you go to Askja Caldera (a sunken crater). This is located in the Ódáðahraun desert area of Vatnajökull National Park. NASA astronauts trained here for the lunar mission in the 1960s and 70s - not without reason. Discover the surreal surroundings on a walk, including the Víti crater "The Gate to Hell". Also visit the Dragon Valley Drekagil with its strangely shaped lava formations.

Day 9 Along the Artic Coast Way

Discover the enchanting and wild wonders of the Arctic Circle. The Arctic Coast Way leads along the coast past quiet villages. A big contrast to the harsh landscapes of the last few days. Start the day with a visit to the "Waterfall of the Gods" and then discover Akureyri, the capital of the north. On the Troll Peninsula, the jagged rocks actually look like frozen trolls. We continue through small, colorful villages to the region of Skagafjörður, which is known as the traditional center of horse breeding in Iceland. Dinner and overnight in Laugarbakki area.

Day 10 Vatnsnes Peninsula – Hvammstangi – Eiríksstaðir

On the Vatnsnes peninsula you will discover the extraordinary Hvítserkur cliff, which rises 15 meters from the sea. Maybe you can also spot a few seals.

We head through hilly farmland and heath to the west of the island. You'll visit the Viking Age house at the Eric the Red Museum. Two of the most legendary Vikings in the world once lived here.

Dinner and overnight in the Snæfellsnes area.

Day 11 Snæfellsjökull National Park

Experience the amazing diversity of nature in Snæfellsjökull National Park today. The eponymous glacier covers a dormant volcano that last erupted in 250 AD. You'll also see Kirkjufell, one of the most photographed mountains in Iceland. Take a walk along the unique pebble beach of Djúpalónssandur. In the picturesque harbor village of Arnarstapi, you can see magnificent basalt rocks in stacked formations.

In the afternoon we will return to Reykjavik. Overnight in Reykjavik.

Day 12 Departure

This varied journey ends after breakfast. We would be happy to plan a transfer to the airport for you.

3 days: Horse Riding between the Rivers

On this tour you ride along Iceland's longest river, Thjórsá, which consists of clear glacial water. We continue along the Hvítá River, through green, mossy landscapes.

Transfer from Reykjavik to the farm, lunch,

getting used to the horse and hot tub in the evening

Day 2

Horse riding along the river (approx. 20 km), lunch on the way,

overnight on the farm

Day 3

Visit to the herd, horseback riding along the river (approx. 20 km),

6:00 p.m. Pick up in Reykjavik, get to know each other on the farm

Day 2

Horse riding along the Thjórsá River (15 km)

Day 3

Horse riding along the salmon river Stóra-Laxá, picnic lunch, horse riding to Brúarhlöð Canyon (30 km)

Day 4

Horse riding along the Hvítá River to the Golden Waterfall, picnic lunch, horse riding back to Myrkholt (20 km)

Day 5

Horse riding through the Haukadalur Valley to the plateau with views of glaciers and mountains, time at the geysers with the hot springs (18 km)

Day 6

Horse riding through the green nature, over the Hvítá River and through the Tungufellsdalur valley to the Hrunaheiðar plateau (30 km). Swim in the Secret Lagoon.

Day 7

Riding past Galtafell Mountain, over the Laxá River to Sandlækjarmýri, back to the farm (40 km), arriving in Reykjavik at around 8 p.m
