Our Accommodation
In Egypt there are many hotels of all comfort classes. The star categorization (*) of the hotels is based on a checklist. If the hotel room for example has a TV, a minibar and a hair dryer, and the facility a pool and a license to serve alcohol, the accommodation quickly classifies itself in the 5* category. And yet, in these (of course by no means all) 5* hotels in Egypt, travelers may find stained carpets, broken bathroom tiles or peeling paint. Many European travelers would therefore assign some of the 5* hotels to the 4* or even the 3* category. The same applies to the Nile Cruise ships. That's just a fact! We do our best to identify the hotels' standard correctly and check them constantly. In order not to stir up false expectations, however, we have decided to classify 3*-4* hotels in our Comfort category and 4*-5* hotels in the Upgrade category.
