SOUTH MOROCCO DISCOVERY

2 nights in

Marrakesh

Start your Morocco adventure with a stay in the imperial city of Marrakesh and discover the highlights of Marrakesh together with your guide: the colorful souqs, the Koutoubia Mosque and the Madrasa. Design the two afternoons exactly to your own taste. Don't miss out on the nightlife when the city really awakens.

Ait Ben Haddou

Discover Morocco's most famous kasbah / fortress, which is also a Unesco World Heritage Site. Once an important base on the trade route from Marrakesh to the Sahara, the deserted city now offers a fantastic backdrop - Game of Thrones fans might recognize it. From the old Granary you can enjoy a beautiful view of the city.

Tinghir

Continue to Tinghir and the Todra Gorga. Cool off in the gorge, hike along thick passages of palmeries before lunch. In the afternoon you choose: A challenging guided hike into the mountains or a more relaxed walk through the palm valley.

Erg Chebbi Desert

Today we start the desert adventure: Erg Chebbi and the extensive sea of sand dunes is the destination. Some dunes rise up to 200 meters. With the 4x4 (on request also on the camel) we go through the dunes. Watch the colorful display as the sun sets behind the colossal dunes. Open-air dinner and a campfire with Berber music included in the camp stay.

Ouarzazate

After breakfast you will return by 4x4 to reach your driver then continue your trip to Ouarzazate!

Discover how its nearby regions have been featured in movies, including Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator, and Black Hawk Down. Join a movie studio tour and visit the Musée du Cinema to learn more about the filmmaking process and history of the area.

Marrakesh

It's back to Marrakesh. Stroll through the many winding streets, shop for souvenirs and spices and just let the atmosphere wash over you with a delicious mint tea. Marrakesh has a lot to offer, you don't have to get bored here even on your second visit.

Casablanca

Welcome to Morocco. With Casablanca you will experience modern Morocco, where money is made and where the young generation tries to acquire wealth. Upon arrival, explore the city's highlights, such as the Hassan II Mosque, on your own.

Chefchaouen

Today, you'll make your way to Chefchaouen. This little city is a visual delight in blue; walls, doors, windows, stairways, alleyways, and archways - everything is a combination of pastel, sky-blue and richer blues. In the afternoon you will explore the most beautiful corners with your guide. Relax with an upside-down coffee (maqlouba).

Fes

Stop along the way at the UNESCO-protected Volubilis ruins and in Meknes, Fes' less busier version. Continue on to Fes. With its impressively large (and somewhat confusing) old medina, Fes is a city worth getting lost in. With and later also without a guide you have a full day to explore and endulge yourself in beautiful Fez.

Erg Chebbi Desert

Through cedar forests and past Barbay Macaque monkeys we change scenery to oases and palm trees until you see the first signs of the Sahara: sand dunes up to 200 meters high! With the 4x4 (on request camel) you go into the desert, where you can watch the beautiful sunset. Berber music will accompany you at the open-air dinner and the convivial round around the campfire.

Tinghir

Try sandboarding and visit a traditional Saharan village before continuing to Tinghir. This desert town offers awesome views of neighboring towns hugging the length of the extensive river oasis. Stop at today's final destination, the Todra Gorge. 300 m high and carved by the Todra River through red limestone, here you can enjoy a leisurely walk in and around the gorge and relax in the cool waters of the shallow river below.

Ait Ben Haddou

Stop in Kelâat M'Gouna to admire the rose bushes. Visit a rose collective to see the process of converting rose petals into rose water and oil. In Ouarzazate join a movie studio tour and visit the Musée du Cinema. Overnight in Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where you can hike to the old Granary in the afternoon and enjoy great views.

2 nights in

Marrakesh

Through the High Atlas we go to an Argan Oil Cooperative to see how the olives are processed. Marrakesh is the destination and exciting hours await you in the red city, between souqs, mosques and museums, there is also time to simply relax with a mint tea and to review the journey.

The city of Agadir is resting the foothills of the Anti-Atlas Mountains on the southern coast of Morocco.
