Face to face with the big ostriches - there are many ostrich farms in the area and you can even stay overnight on one if you want. In Oudtshoorn you can also admire the sweet Meerkaat, climb down into the Cango Caves and simply enjoy the beautiful scenery.

Nestled on the banks of a breathtaking lagoon, there is nothing like its natural beauty - with indigenous forests, tranquil lakes, and golden beaches. Discover the Heads, a very famous stone formation, explore the area on foot and enjoy the atmosphere with a delicious coffee in the city. For the very active: mountain biking, canopy tours and golfing are popular.

Tsitsikamma National Park

Enjoy spectacular views of the Indian Ocean together with rocky shorelines and lush forests. Several guided or self-guided hiking trails are found here. Dolphins play in the breaking waves, whereas the ocean's gentle giant, the southern right whale, breeches nearby. This is one of the largest areas where fishermen and divers have a 'no take' policy regarding fishing.

Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Park

The park is home to the Big Five and a variety of other wildlife, including the mysterious Cheetah, Wild Dog, and Hyena. The best viewing is done from hides positioned over waterholes, giving visitors a close-up view of the animals. The park offers day walks, game drives, boat tours on the Hluhluwe Dam and exciting all-inclusive wilderness trails.

More than 550 elephants reside here, along with herds of buffalo, black rhino, lion, and various antelope species such as Eland, Red Hartebeest, and Kudu. For an all-round carefree package, we plan the right rental car for a trip to South Africa. The roads in South Africa are basically all very good and easy to drive on, which is why a 4x4, for example, is not necessary. For example, we plan a Toyota Corolla for two people, but we are happy to adjust the size if desired.
